General Entry Requirements for Applicants
In compliance with NACTVET standards, admission into Certificate programs at Wesley College follows two entry tiers:
1. Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4)
- Standard Entry: Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a minimum of four (4) passes (Grade D or above) in non-religious subjects.
- Vocational Entry: National Vocational Award (NVA Level III / VETA) accompanied by a CSEE with relevant passes.
2. Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5)
- Direct Progression: Successful completion of the Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Direct High School Entry: Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one (1) Principal Pass and one (1) Subsidiary Pass in relevant subjects.

Students completing both levels over a consecutive two-year period earn full technical certification toward Ordinary Diploma entry.
Mode of Semester Distribution
Each academic year consists of two (2) semesters, each running for 16 to 18 weeks, structured as follows:
Semester I
- Orientation and registration.
- Core theoretical classroom instruction and laboratory or practical sessions.
- Continuous Assessments (CA) including quizzes, group assignments, and mid-semester tests.
- End-of-Semester Examinations.
Semester II
- Advanced module classroom and practical instruction.
- Specialized project work or hands-on laboratory assignments.
- Mandatory Field Practical Training (FPT) or field attachment, typically 6–8 weeks in industry, community, or local government settings.
- Final End-of-Semester Examinations and FPT assessment reporting.
