JOB DESCRIPTION FOR  DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS INCUBATOR 

 

 

Location: Mwanza, Tanzania

 

Position: Director of Business Incubator 

 

Job Brief Description: Director of Business Incubator with extensive experience in coordination , management of global, multi-disciplinary projects, supervision ,support of technical and operational teams.

 

KEY SKILLS

 ● Able to develop, challenge and implement ideas, strategies and processes

 ● Able to fund raise, manage and control financial resources

 ● Logical, analytical approach to project planning and tracking, problem solving and troubleshooting

 ● Formation and leadership of international multi-functional teams

 ● Motivation of self and others to complete actions and meet objectives, focusing on customer satisfaction

 ● Attention to detail such as data accuracy, analysis and reporting

 ● Effective and appropriate communication to groups and individuals at all levels

  1. Coordinate , planning and preparation of grant proposals process.

  2.  Manage monitor and coordinate the administration of post award grants to ensure that budgeting and administrative policies, procedures and agency requirements are being followed.

  3. Develop and rationalize plans, processes, and documentation to improve and simplify operations. Provided guidance and assistance to investigators in the interpretation of funding agency and requirements

  4. Identify defined and developed funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinated the development, writing and submission of grant proposals to third party entities

  5. Develop curriculum for short courses and training for Wesley College

  6. Managing and coordinate the start and development of the Business Incubator for Wesley College

  7. Oversee students’ completion of academic programs at Wesley College

Minimum Requirements:

Location: Mwanza, Tanzania

Position:Business Administration Tutor

Job Type: Full-time

Report to:Deputy Principal of Academics of Wesley College

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To carry out lectures, conduct tutorials seminars and practical, and practically for the assigned programs

  2. To prepare, mark and compile test, examination and other students’ assessment

  3. Supervise students’ activities and invigilate examination

  4. To prepare and present case studies, Conduct and publish/ Disseminate research result

  5. To recognize students’ having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support

  6. To participate in consultancies and community services under supervision and attend chapels, workshop, conference and symposia

  7. To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authority.

  8.   Department, Deputy Principals (Academics/Finance) and the Principal provided they aim at attaining the college vision, mission and goals.

  9. Perform all the duties and responsibilities with high degree of integrity and adherence to NACTE requirements and standards.

 

Qualification:

Minimum Qualifications:

  2. Three years teaching experience with NACTE

Position: Community Development Tutor

Job Type: Full-time

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR  PUBLIC RELATION MARKETING OFFICER

Location: Mwanza, Tanzania

Position: Public Relation Marketing Officer

Nature and scope: The jobholder reports to the Manager, Public Relations, Events and Stakeholders Management. He/She is responsible for supporting the provision of publicity services, maintenance of college relationship with stakeholders and maintenance of local media services for good public relations and positive corporate image as well as marketing.

Job Type: Full-time

Report to:College Principal and HR

Job Responsibilities:​

  • Assist in developing and management of the Wesley college relationship with Business associates, Government Ministries/Departments/Agencies, Embassies and the Public

  • To monitor local media, analyze and review news and business events to inform management of significant developments and identify emerging future issues that might impact on college image.

  • Assist in planning for, prepare and produce leaflets, brochures, press releases, business leaflets and a website aimed at promoting the Wesley college products and image.

  • To liaise with news media including issuance of press releases and responding to media inquiries concerning the Wesley college.

  • To coordinate advertising and promotion work for Wesley college products and services.

  • Support in organizing and arranging news conferences, press launches, exhibitions and trade fairs

  • Carry out any other duties assigned by your Line Manager/Supervisor

Qualifications, Knowledge and  Experience:

 

  • University graduate in Public Relations, International Relations, Business Administration or related field.

  • Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in reputable company or financial institution. .

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Computer and customer service skills.

  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills

  • Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships

  • Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail

  • Possess the ability to keep information confidential

  • Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms

  • Ability to work in high-stress environments, often for long hours - A wide degree of creativity and latitude

  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
